Does anyone know exactly what they mean when they say: "Limit your responses to one page."?
They have 4 essays total on one Word Document....so does that mean one page max for all 4 or one page max for each essay?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Mix, it means 1 page max for all four questions, I also wrote mine single space, because I needed the space. I also did mine with 1 inch margins all around.

Are you starting the application for Fall 2008? If so let me know if you have other questions.

Good Luck

Yup, I'm starting my apps for 2008! I was wondering if there was any advantage whether or not I indicated that I was involved with a religious organization? I do attend my church services regularly and help weekly at my church's homeless shelter and youth group, but I never worked directly with a clergy leader and the LLU app. asks for a clergy member contact info...

Thanks for the help!

I would definitely put that experience down, because it seems like it is significant to you. You don't necessarily need to put your clergy member contact info. (I didn't), but be prepared to talk about your experience for the interview. Remember the application is a way to develop yourself as an applicant, its what they will use to ask you questions and get to know you better. They want to make sure you will be a good match for their school and likewise for yourself. Please don't look at any activity as an advantage or disadvantage, but as significant or non-significant to you making the choice of applying to pharmacy school.

Feel free to ask more Q's.

I just wanted to express my frustration. How is it possible to answer all four questions in just one page?! That is crazy! Ok I'm done 😀

Hi wannabePharmD11,
I was wondering where I can put pharmacy volunteer experience on the LLU app?
they only have a place that says "places of employment"....

thanks for all your help, really appriciate it!

Hi Shik.., I made it work by dedicating one paragraph for each topic. I tried my best to make the essay flow as best as possible (this is the hard part). Just make sure you answer each question directly and elaborate a little. This takes time to do, but make multiple drafts and keep cutting material if it is too long. They understand the restriction so they will take that into consideration.

I believe I put my volunteer and internship experience in the work experience section. I first put down paid positions 1-3, and then volunteer and internship experience. Just make sure you title everything so that it is clear and you should be okay.

I'm also applying to Loma Linda for 2008 admissions. I want to ask wannabePharmD11, how many references did you have? I have the 3 they require (1 from pharmd and 2 from professors), but I noticed I can actually add more than 3. I am the president of prepharmacy club here in my college, and I'm not sure if I should or shouldn't ask my club faculty advisor to be my 4th reference. Do you think becaues they require 3, they'll only look at the first 3 references?

I had 3 references. 1 from my pre-pharmacy advisor, 1 from an extracurricular activity (clinical experience), and 1 from a professor. It is really your call about sending additional references. I would suggest you send it if the letter will show additional qualities you have demonstrated that the other letters would not emphasize. I would assume that you are very involved as president of the pre-pharmacy club, that demonstrates leadership ability, which is important in the field of pharmacy.

I am not sure if they have a restriction on the letters of rec's. You may want to ask them by e-mail. I'm sure that if the application system lets you add the reference then it should be okay, but I would still double check with LLU admissions.

Good Luck
