Looking for 'expert' on canine obesity and exercise

Hi All,

Does anyone know who is currently considered the 'expert' on canine obesity and canine exercise? or a canine health researcher who is widely acknowledged in the field? I am trying find a seminal article to use as a basis for my public service announcement on the importance of daily exercise for both you and your dog to decrease risk of obesity and obesity related illnesses.

I don't know if there are any bonafide experts on fat dogs.. but, your question made me think of the Hill's strategy from a couple years ago, promoting fitness for dogs AND their owners.
