Is that too short of a letter? DO that wrote me a letter sent me a copy but it is only 240 words. It is 3 paragraphs but it is a good letter (I think). Is this too short?

The length of the letter should not be the issue. If it is a strong letter and shows that he/she truly knows you and it is not just a run of the mill letter, then the length does not matter. The letter I got from the DO i shaddowed was at most 15 or 20 sentences, and was shocked to see how short it was when i first saw it, but after reading it, I knew that it was my strongest LOR.

Long story short, the content is what is gonna matter not the length. Also, i think that there is a difference between a concise letter and a short letter. Concise letters don't waste the reader's time, which they love. They hate fluff. Just my 2 cents though, take it with a grain of salt or however you would like...

Don't Worry. Mine was about that length too. 👍

240 letters would be a disaster.

Lincoln's Gettyburg address was only 43 words and still remembered to this day.

Content - not word count is what matters.

I understand. But I figured if a letter had more words, the better the content...

I really like what has been said already about being concise. Short sentences are important. Just as short letters deem themselves to be powerful as well. Long letters will sometimes just open the door for things that you may not want to try and explain in an interview or lose the reader's focus. So, overall I think all of us agree, don't fret about it.
