Looking for possible suggestions in my situation. I recently went to an interview and the interviewer informed me that one of my LORs is addressed as "she" whIle I am a male. The letter writer addressed myself as a "she" in multiple sentences of the letter. This letter was waived so I had no idea and was completely speechless. This is an utterly stupid careless mistake on the doctors behalf. It even suggests to programs the letter was copy and pasted. I'm not sure what to do now. I reached out to that doctor and am awaiting a reply.

I believe once a letter is assigned theres nothing we can do to remove it. I'm really worried if this totally crapped my matching chances. Right now im planning to ask the attending to write me another letter explaining the error which i will take with me on my remaining interviews. I would greatly appreciate any other suggestions.

I searched the forum and couldnt find anyone who posted a situation as mine in the past

Well, you could panic, like you're doing, or you could listen to a real, honest to goodness PD and chill out about it.

Your call.

See, to me, a "nightmare" would be waking up in a foreign jail where I don't speak the language, or finding out my wife had cheated several times, with people I know, or that some kid overseas had completely ruined my life with electronic bombing (like that Finnish kid did to that family in the midwest - I read about it recently, but don't recall the details). Your nightmares seem MUCH less troubling than mine. Or, maybe, you just find MUCH less disabling things to trouble you MUCH more. To use your smiley -.

Update. I went to another interview and the LOR was brought up. This time I told the interviewer I could ask the attending to call the program and clarify the error. To which she said responded to not worry about it as it doesn't matter lol

Wow! It's almost as if all the advice you received here was actually correct.

Perhaps it's time to turn the internet off. Our work here is done.
