Can someone please explain the entire process of how LORs are sent to AAMC. When do I ask my professor (February?) what do I give them? Where do I tell them to send it to? Etc.

Completely clueless on this topic.

You can ask the professor any time. You can't actually get a letter sent to AMCAS until May. The letter will sit on their desk until then.

You need the still need the AMCAS ID and AMCAS letter ID and you may not get those until the AMCAS application opens up

Yes, I had my letters sent to Interfolio starting in January.

The ID numbers can be attached when you send them from Interfolio to AMCAS or AACOMAS, so no need for the letter writer to include any ID numbers.
