Hi Everyone,

I plan on applying to PT school next summer, but I have a question regarding the letter of recommendations. Should I ask for them now, even though I'm not planning to apply until next summer, or should I wait until the application process is open? Does PTCAS have a specific criteria they want the physical therapists and employers to follow when writing a LOR?

I would recommend at least letting them know that you plan on applying next year and you want to use them as a reference if you are not going to be in contact with them later.

Ok thanks...but do you know if PTCAS has specific things they want our references to write about us? Or can they write about anything?

PTCAS will send an email to the person you want to write a LOR for you, and they will simply fill out the questions it asks.
