When applying to a program where you got an LOR from the PD or Chair, should you send those letters to those programs?
It's logical to me that if you have a letter from a well known surgeon at that hospital who may not be on the acceptance committee, then of coarse send the letter to that program. But is it valuable to send a letter back to the person who wrote it, if you have other letters to chose from, or will that letter serve to remind them how much they like you?
