Have not found an answer to this so I thought I would ask.

My #1 school wants a LOR from a prof so I would assume they would want one from a science prof. The question I have is: Do you think that one prof if better than another one (all things being equal)? Meaning, would the Anatomy prof mean more than the Physio prof? Or maybe Organic more than Bio? ETC

I can get a good letter from any one of my science profs. Just wasnt sure if one would be given more credence than another...

What about when schools ask for LORs from another source, besides a professor.. They usually ask for either a pharmacist, or maybe an employer. Is there some sort of ranking for these? I don't really know any pharmacists outside of the ones I've job shadowed. I also feel like I'll get a more solid recommendation from an employer who has known me for years versus a pharmacist who has known me for days, but I'm not totally sure.

The general rule is, it is the letter that matters, not the writer. However I would rank a pharmacist higher than any other type of boss - it comes down to what the school requires and how good of a letter the pharmacist will write.

I think you should def get one from your biology professor, because pharmacy school is all about memorizing. I had A's in all my biology class yet no one would write me a Lor because I didnt know them long enough.

I had the following:
Physics calc based professor (Got a A-. Wanted me to do research with him, and tutor in our department)
Ochem professor (had him for 1 and 2, both A's, wanted me to do research with him, got a recommendation from him to tutor in ochem and general chem)
Chemistry Chairmen (was the star of the department according to him, and knew him well, also got his recommendation to tutor in chem)
Whole Pharmacy department put down their names on the letter to say that if the department had anymore questions they could ask the hospital pharmacists themselves besides the supervisor (Supervisor wrote it, was with him for 1 whole year)
