I'm going to start asking teachers for lors, but I was unsure about something. I plan on applying to 5 schools, so should I give my professors 5 envelopes? It seems like that would be kind of annoying for them to have sign and print out 5 recommendations.

Most profs will ask you how many you would like when they agree to write for you. Aside from the 2 seconds it takes to sign them, it's not really any harder to do 10 than it is 1.

Yes most professors are fine with signing, stamping, and mailing multiple letters. Just a word of advice, follow up on the professors by e-mailing or calling them to make sure they have sent them in. Professors are very busy.
