LOR's: 4th yr vs 3rd yr letters

Anyone have any input regarding the distribution of letters you should submit? Does it matter if you have all 3rd year letters or all 4th year letters? People have said that you should have a mix, but does it really matter as long as they are your strongest letters...

Your letters go in so early in your 4th year that I can't imagine it would matter. All of mine were from my 3rd year except one; no one ever commented on that aspect. Choose your strongest letters overall.
