LORs

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It is the polite thing to do. I always just write that I appreciate them taking the time from their busy schedule to write a letter of support on my behalf and that I will keep them posted (which I almost never do, unless I was really close to them)....I think you should give thank you cards just b/c they didn't have to do it and they did. So, it sorta makes it worth their while to feel appreciated

When would you consider is the 'right' time to send them a thank you note. After the pre-med cmte. has received it? Or when the application process is over?

The right time to thank someone for doing you a favor is shortly after the favor is done. In the case of writing a letter and providing it to a pre-med committee, the favor is complete when the letter is submitted to the committee.

(Emily Post would be so proud.)
