LORs

hey - do any of you guys know the deal with the number of LORs to assign? Most programs i've looked at require 3, but ERAs lets you assign up to 4.... if i have 4 LORs should I send all 4? will the programs look at all 4, or just the first 3 they receive?

i have no specific info as i am applying myself, but this has been a frequent topic on the general residency forum. you might get a general idea from those threads.
