Just curious... how many of you got calls/letters from schools expressing their love? For example, letters from program directors or phone calls from residents (ex UAB)? Did it alter your rank lists? Do they do it for everybody just like we send out our thank you letters?

i got a *few* letters from PDs and 1 letter from a resident during the interview season. it did not change my ranking at all and i still don't feel confident that i will match at any of those places. it was nice to hear a few good things though.

I got one call from a chair, one from a post doc and letters and e-mails from a few others. I'd like to say it didn't change my ranking but I think it might of just a little.
