Hi guys,

I was notified at the last minute that I wouldn't be able to take 1 class, which was suppose to be for research(4 credits). So now I'm going in this quarter with 8 units. Will it look really bad when I apply? I'm thinking of using this time to maybe do some volunteer work. What do you guys think?

Thanks al ot

Aren't there some other classes that you can sign up for to fill in the gap? Take an art/sculpting class or something to demonstrate fine motor coordination. I don't think it would look too bad as long as the general trend of your undergraduate is that you take high course loads.

I think only taking 8 credit hours is a waste of time.

So you are suppose to get credit for the research you are currently doing or completed over the summer?

If you are currently involved with research, they will know that you were doing research during that time frame.

My research boss told me that he was going to allow me to receive credits for the research during the summer, but just now(2nd week into quarter), he said that since he wouldn't have that much work, and that it was not possible to assign credit for it. I think there's going to be small assignments here and there, but nothing major for this quarter.

I wish I could fill up the space with other classes, but as I stand right now, I just need my bio classes. I'm just afraid that they would think I'm slacking.

Take the class that you don't need for your major, something fun and interesting maybe like the history of Roman Empire🙄, or some other jazz go figure. Don't just stick to bio's.
