Hi, do you think it's possible to get into one of the 3 Texas dental schools with a 3.1 GPA? The reason why my GPA is low is because I have two D's in OChem 1 Lecture and Biochemistry 1. I cannot retake Biochem 1 this spring because my school does not offer it in the spring. I could retake OChem 1 Lecture in June but the class will end in mid-July. And I don't know if I should apply before or after I take the class (not sure if it would benefit my chances to get in).
I also have not taken the DAT yet and am planning on taking it in March (hopefully score a 22 or higher). My volunteer/community service and shadowing hours are at least 100hrs. I am active in 4 clubs and have some leadership roles.
So what should I do to increase my chances to get into one of the 3 Texas schools?
