So, like many of my peers before me, I didn't do too well in university. When I first started, I didn't put any work into the learning experience at all and had two catastrophic first years. I finished pretty strong, but that left me with a cGPA of about 2.8. The good news in all of this, is that I didn't do any of the science prereqs during this time, so I can still excel on those if I buckle down. I plan to start them this Fall.

I'm not in particular hurry and would just like to be as competitive as possible to ensure that I can realize this dream. Am I already sunk? Will taking and excelling in the pre-reqs and performing well on the PCAT still leave me undesirable because of my horrendous GPA? What else can I do to make myself a better applicant?

Easier said than done. Science classes are usually harder than other university classes (except maybe math). Yes if you do better in those classes and the PCAT you are more likely to be accepted, but you better start burning the midnight oil.

If you get an A in all of them you will get in somewhere with a good PCAT
