Hello all,

I've posted before here and you guys have really helped me out. I have to admit to going through a bit of a "dark night of the soul" moment after receiving my MCAT score. I got a 498. My current cGPA is 3.5 and sGPA is 3.28. I have several thousands of hours of direct pt care experience and a lot of research experience as well as volunteer (both clinical and non-clinical). If you care to do so, you can view the details in one of my previous posts.

Obviously the mcat score is abysmal and its got me very disheartened. My question is if this would be an auto-reject (for DO schools only, not even top tier DO schools. Obviously MD is out and i'm ok with that). If it seems at all possible, what schools would any of you recommend. Thanks for all your help in advance.

You could receive interviews at these DO schools with your stats:
ACOM
ARCOM
BCOM
WCU-COM
LMU-DCOM
UP-KYCOM
WVSOM
LUCOM
UIWSOM
ICOM
CUSOM
VCOM (all 3 schools)
NYIT-Arkansas
LECOM
PCOM -South Georgia (new school)
Most of these schools have MCAT medians in the 498 to 502 range so you should receive some interviews if you apply in June and submit all your secondaries by July.

I really appreciate this. Thank you for your help.

What state are you from and are you URM? Those two factors could change some things for you
UT resident. No URM status. I don't think that's going to change a lot for me, unfortunately.
