Low PCAT

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Each school is different but 50% seems to be common. However, the average PCAT of people accepted is much higher than this. Just got to do your research.

OK.. I am going to recycle this old thread to ask my specific questions...

I see that many people on SDN are accepted with LOW GPA but OK PCAT, ANYONE ACCEPTED WITH OK GPA BUT "LOW" PCAT (I mean very low 50-67)!!..
I saw the thread about low GPA but OK PCAT...

I have 7 interviews (done with one, 6 more to go) with 59% PCAT.. MY GPA is 3.59 .. science 3.54.. But I am aware that interviews are not equal to "acceptances".
I'm given a chance to compete at the interview... but what's the chance?
And I would rather not be invited if they think I am among the lowest ranks before the interview. Airfare and traveling expense are expensive..

May be some of you who were accepted with low PCAT can boost my morale.

It really depends on the school. Most schools have told me if you have a low pcat you need to have a higher GPA or vise versa, but they dont mean you have to have a 4.0 just higher then average GPA( to them they look o see if your GPA is at least competitive). I do know someone who got into a pharm school with a very low pcat, between 55 to 65% and about a 3.5 GPA not a huge amount of experience, getting a B.S. this spring. It is definitely possible. good luck on your interviews
