Hi all,

I am wondering whats the lowest QR score you have seen someone getting in with. Im taking the DAT this May and the QR section is giving me a lot of trouble.

If someone lets say, 3.6 sgpa, solid extracurriculars, and got a for instance, 19AA/20TS/19Bio/20GC/21OC/20PAT/18RC/14-15QR

have any chance for an interview, at specifically, any of the CA dentals schools?

QR should be at 18 minimum. I had 16 QR last year and no CA schools invited me. If you want some dental schools from CA, 19 and up would be best...

Thanks... yes i agree having an 18-19 is best, but is not a fact regarding admission to a CA dental school. Do you know how many wrong you can get on QR to get an 18? I know every test is different, but roughly....

Hi,
In general most schools take a hard look at the science and reading scores. I have worked with many students that have struggled with the QR section and have gotten into dental schools with 16's, but on the other hand they had at least a 3.5 science GPA and scored above 20 in the science and reading sections. Many factors are taken into consideration when applications are reviewed. Put in your best effort, perhaps get a tutor if you find it necessary and shoot for at least an 18. That is not an unrealistic goal.

Good luck to you! Nancy
