Hi! Seeking some advice here…

Applying this cycle these are my stats, need advice. Already submitted my primary + filling out secondaries currently.

uGrad gpa: 2.66
post bacc: 3.81
grad/masters gpa: 3.82

mcat: 502 🥲

FL resident, hispanic/latina woman, have great LOR’s and experiences, shadowing hours, volunteering, etc…

Submitted primary to + received secondaries from:
1. Case Western
2. Duke
3. Drexel
4. FSU
5. UF
6. UCF
7. USF
8. Georgetown
9. GW
10. Tulane
11. Wake Forest (secondaries on hold bc i indicated a future mcat test date, which now i’m conflicted in retaking due to not feeling SUPER ready)

Do I even have a chance anywhere? Should I add more schools to my primary, and if so, which?

- shadowing 70 hours
- clinical: worked as an MA and endoscopy technician for almost 2 years, i have about 2800 and 500 hours there, respectively as well as medical office front desk 120 hours completed w anticipated ~2000 (full time work)
- volunteering: volunteering for crisis text line as a bilingual crisis counselor about 150hrs, and with feeding sfl helping seniors in low income housing receive food boxes about 150hours and the supervisor is also one of my letters of rec from volunteering and knowing her over a year now
- also have leadership, research, and social justice/advocacy activities in my app!!

i’m a 100000% fluent in Spanish, it’s my first language and only language spoken at home, i can read and write it as well!

Duke and Case Western are unrealistic with a MCAT of 502. I suggest these schools with your stats:
Florida State
U Florida
Central Florida
Florida Atlantic
Florida International
NOVA MD
Miami
USF Morsani
Arizona (Tucson and Phoenix)
TCU
Creighton
Rosalind Franklin
Loyola
Medical College Wisconsin
Oakland Beaumont
Wayne State
Tulane
Wake Forest
Eastern Virginia
George Washington
Georgetown
Drexel
Temple
Hackensack
Albany
Vermont
Quinnipiac
Belmont
Also apply to DO schools and I suggest these:
LECOM (all schools)
NOVA
BCOM (both schools)
OCOM
PCOM (all schools)
LMU-DCOM (all schools)
ACOM
WCU-COM
UIWSOM
KCU-COM
ATSU-KCOM
TUNCOM
WVSOM
MU-COM

I would add Suny Upstate, Albany, Suny downstate, Jacobs, Rochester as well.

Your stats are close to mine and I grabbed 4 (2md, 2 do) interviews and got into 3 schools and I def. don't speak spanish (which I think should be a big feather in your cap). A lot, not all, but a lot do look holistically at applications now. Big swing in the right direction from undergrad to postbacc in terms of GPA. MCAT is low but other parts of your application can make up for this.

Not trying to overstep with my input especially when well respected contributers have commented on your post but just so you know, somone with your stats and not all of your skills was able to get in.
