Just got a preliminary score back. I wonder if i need to retake it. My math and science is high
math 96
chem 98
Biology 90.
But my verbal and reading score is horrible 🙁🙁🙁
verbal is 40
reading 50
My Overall composite is 89. I wonder if i need to retake for January PCAT.😕 The reason for my low verbal is I am ESL.

You can't really fix verbal and reading in a week or a month or two. It takes time and effort, usually a lot of reading, just memorizing Vocab wouldn't really help improve scores that much. Your science and math scores are really strong. I would not risk that with a retake. Your overall score is also great. You should apply if your GPA and other stats are good. You can always explain the low scores in those two areas by saying you're an ESL student if and when asked in an interview. I have seen some native English speakers with worse verbal and reading scores so you should be fine.

I think you're fine, my scores were:
Chem - 91
Bio - 89
Reading - 84
Verbal - 76
Quantitative - 39 (lol)

I got into multiple schools already and have an upcoming interview for another.
Retake if you want but I think your score is pretty solid.

Sounds good. 🙂 I do not think i can improve my verbal score a lot. I did well in my english class. I just can not read fast during standard test. I think i might just lucky for the science and math question. I will go ahead apply with that score

How did you prepare for it? I got very low scores, so need advice on how to improve...

I think it was my fault not to study extensively for the verbal. But i do not think I can improve much on reading and verbal. I dont have a great tip for study for those two sections.
For the science part, like everyone else, I review questions carefully from Dr. Collins. Before i was studying from kaplan, Kaplan does a detail reviews, but its practice question just are either too difficult or too different from the actual pcat question. So I focus on Collins practice question , and used kaplan as a reference. I went over each Collins question at least three time. It is hard work. But if u do this over and over again, you will start to see the pattern for the type questions you will encounter on the actual pcat. Dr Collins does have lots of question similar to the test.
I already decide not to take my pcat and apply with that score. If you want, I can sell all my practice material and note to you. The kaplan book i got is from the kaplan courses. Dr Collins is 2014. I also have notes of the key point I summarized from both kaplan and collins.

I saw ur post. You already have Dr. Collins. Make sure you went over the question thoroughly. You probably will complete the test repetitively for two or three times. But make sure u really understand the question and know how to solve a similar problem. Just memorizing the answer will not help you. Finally, Use another practice book as reference. Dr collins has great question but its note/review is not details enough.
