calc. F

still have a 3.69 science gpa though.

when i found out that the college I wanted to go to didnt require it I quit goin to the class.

oh well!

I used to be ashamed, but now I think it's funny...

Freshman winter, American Presidents in the 20th Century, taught by the President of my college...C+, undoubtedly my worst grade

Little did I know that this class was for history majors (not chemistry majors) and typically taken as a senior. It was pretty sweet to be surrounded by a bunch of upperclassmen that thought I was a child prodigy -- taking such a difficult class as a freshman. Little did they know, I wasn't exactly acing my exams. But I sure learned a lot and now routinely dominate on Jeopardy.

C+ in Computer Science (i.e. programming) - without a doubt the most boring and painful class ever, and to boot it was only offered at 8am in the morning, what's that about?!

D in organic II

C- in Vertebrate Physiology. I'll see you in hell Dr. Kapoor...

C+ in organic I. Organic II final coming up in 2 days!! My midterm average was 59%! Need to do well on the final or I will be dead !! ::scared:

C in Bio Lab II (hardest-earned C ever in life), seriously this ish was ridiculous, "here, memorize this thick ass book and everything in it because ALL of it will be on the test", they weren't lying...

Free Playstation Portable!!! http://www.FreePSPs.com/?r=17266061

B- in gen chem II, B- in gen chem lab I, B- in physiology...

damn teachers who don't know english....

D in calc III (vector). But I took it over and got a A.

C in Calc III (Although...I might be able to outdo that this semester...Getting in is a surefire way to destroy your undergrad GPA).

D in Biochem 2, retook it and got a B+. Graduated with a 3.55 overall and a 3.4ish science gpa. Dont fret, take the class again, and kick ass.

B+ in Calc 3C - I was surrounded by engineering students - I really should have taken the easier calc series.

This was first quarter freshman year, and some interviewers actually pointed it out! (it's my one blemish, I've never even gotten an A-, just that one stupid B+ ) I think it's funny, although it probably screwed up my chances at graduation awards...

D in algebra (and no I'm not dumb I just wasn't trying) but took it over and got a B.

I got a C in one of the political science classes--- and a C in a general chem lab ---so I guess four hours worth isnt so bad?

No D's on record thank goodness :)

worst grade is a B+?!?! Hey why don't you just put us all to shame.....

(but good job though  cute and smart...what a combo!)

an F for o-chem I. Hope this will make somebody happy :D

C in political science and endocrinology....stupid classes

3.0 in a medical technology class where I was a first semester sophomore surrounded by seniors. my school doesn't do letter grades but i think that is a B. sadly I will most likely be getting another one this semester in biochem (but it's better than the second most likely outcome, a C)

C in statics (upper physics class) summer after senior year - my first C in one of last classes I needed to graduate - urgh. not only that, chinese prof couldn't pronounce my name right and made it sound an embarassing body fluid everytime he called on me.

B- in Anthropology.

Randall H. McMaguire, that no-talent-ass-crown motherf...

C'mon, enough with these high grades. There's gotta be more F's out there, dont be shy!

What... dont look at me ! :hardy:

A- in micro...just 1 percent away from an A.

oh, come on...please...look at my GPA.
i got a D- in micro, that i canNOT recover from...after that grade..all the A+'s thereafter (which i didn't get anyways) won't mend the dent

btw, what's with all these schools that let you RE-TAKE classes? we CANNOT do that @ UofT!...you do **** that's it...i mean, if u fail, u can take it again...but i can't take mirco again, i can't even try to redeem myself and say i had a bad semester, and it wasn't just the course

Got a C in Human Resources (for my business minor)
It worked for some good stuff on my interviews, I can count 3 ADCOMS that laughed and commented on it saying: " a C in a business course!".

C+ Women Studies

It was too good to be true to be in a class with only 5 guys and 190+ girls.

Hey I got a C in finance. I put next to no effort in it though, I was focused on my bios!

Got an F in gen. chem II, also got a degree in chemical engineering...ahhh, freshman year.

(I have an A in it right now, btw)

C in G-Chem and C+ in Biological Anthropology ( I went to class 3 times)

This should make some people here happy, or at least have a laugh on my regard

Math 100 - F 33%
Math 101 - F 33% (at least im consistent)

So i had to retake first year math both classes, derivates and integrals, and averaged out to 50% on all 4 courses at the end. But it don't stop there.

General Chem 1 - F 45%
Organic Chem 1 - F 45%
Biology 2nd year class - F 45%
Biology first year class - D 54%

Countless others with C-/C/C+ (TONS)

My lifetime GPA is 2.9 and I got rejected at ALL US SCHOOLS for this application cycle, Temple, Detroit, Michigan, I can't even remeber I applied to like 10 US schools.

I got 3 interviews in Canada.

WHY DO SO MANY CANADIANS SAY don't worry have a low GPA, get a low teens DAT, the USA will take you in. I got REJECTED at every US school, and I've had my interviews in Canada. I'm waiting till June/July when they get back to me. I give the US props, in my eyes it's harder to get interviews in the US than Canada.

I got an Avg Dat 20/17, 2.9 GPA, on the 5 year program, and got a half dozen or so Failed courses.

There's ppl here in Canada panicking with 3.7 GPA's, im like wtf, just look at me and feel better.

Hope I made you feel better about your transcript Predents, hopefully I can get in too, that'd be sweet. I'll make T-shirts with my GPA, and then getting into Dental... priceless

LOL... someone posted a B- and said that was their lowest mark, all A's/A+ after that... hahaha, good for you. No prob getting in dent there.

WELL DONE!! kudos to u my friend!

however, please elaborate...i'm dying to know
do u have work experience? post-bac? masters? PhD? parent of quintuplets? can jump through burning hoops?

which Canadian schools?

Two B's in both my english classes and that too at a 2 year institution. I think it was the teacher more then me. She only gave out one A the whole year. I wish I could take those two classes back they are the only stains on a so far perfect transcript.

thanks for the honest post! please keep us posted on how the application process comes along. i had alot of Cs in bios and a D in biochem which i havent been able to retake. my overall gpa is close to yours too.

good point ;)

F in Fourier Analysis.

Took it the summer after I graduated. Worse part was I brought it upon myself. I was having a duel with my professor. He was sucking up to all the girls in the class (girls are a rare sight in an upper division math class so they noramlly get a lot of special attention. But com'on you're a professior for God's sake.) So I'd show up to class, take the front, center seat, and go straight to sleep in front of him on purpose. Well, he got the last laugh at the end. Will I do this again? Heck yeah. What's an F in the big scheme of things. It taught me humility. I'm forced to beg for admissions with Dental schools years later. But it definitely made me a better person ;)

this is sad....
lowest grade c- in human anatomy
now failing more classes including human physiology and genetics...kill me.

lowest grade: c- human anatomy...takign it over hoping for a B which ain't impressive.
curretnly failing human physio, o chem II, and genetics...at this rate...i'll never get into dent schooll....kill me booooooooooo  :scared:

I got a C- in badminton. Okay so I took it because the girl I was dating wanted to take it. So anyway we broke up about three weeks into the semester and I never went to badminton class again, and still managed a C-, turns out I'm pretty dam proud of that C- :p , and the adcoms loved the story. :D

Aren't you a chem major?

How did this happen?

How did this happen?

Yes, I am both a chem and bio major  I didn't get along with my prof that was teaching our o-chem class. He was extremely rude pretty much to everybody in class with his stupid comments about dress codes and stupid **** like this... looks like this dude was totally pissed with the society and our class became his point of anger release. One time I got late to class and he gave me a comment about my jeans with holes on my knees, which was btw totally inappropriate and offensive... and I simply snapped in front of the whole class. Well, at least I told him everything I wanted him to know :D :D :D but he was the one laughing at the end... I ended up with a big, fat, fcuking F for that class. Eventually, he got fired over some sexual harassment case the following year, but I still had to retake my o-chem class and ended up with a B :D

actually, just a B.

through 3 semesters, just 1 in World Literature I... but I will make a B in Organic Chem II, Genetics, and maybe Physics II this semester :/

I got a D in Principles Of Financial Accounting...my worst semester ever...I was pledging a fraternity. I have to say, however, that unless you are a business major, financial accounting is not for the weak minded.

Huge wake up call and I ended undergrad with a 3.04 overall gpa and then did all post-bacc work and earned a good mix of A's and B's with one C+ in organic chemistry II. Its funny, before I would have been satisfied with that grade...but I was working way too hard to receive the grade I got. To make it worse, it was a summer course (orgo I/II plus labs) and 1st semester (or 1st 6 weeks depending on how you want to look at it) I got a B with the same average and prof said he was going to use the same curve...well guess what, he changed the curve even though most of the people did worse than the 1st summer session. Orgo I/II are my least favorite classes because of that damn professor....not to mention the actual content of the class (lol)

AHh lets see... All my screwups are from freshman year... At the end of freshman year I had a 1.9something. So ya i had to do some retaking...

Calculus 1 D (retaken B)
Calculus 2 D- (why did i take calc 2 after getting a D in calc 1????) (retaken B)
Bio 111 C (retaken A)
Bio 112 D (retaken A-)
Genetics C- (retaken A-)

Ya...there you go ;). I would like to add that for most of these classes I only showed up on exam dates. In fact, numerous times when the teacher handed out the exams for us to take they would say "who are you?" which is not a good thing to hear when all my classes had less than 25 students in them ;)...hahaha. Def changed things around tho after freshman year!! THing that sucks tho is that since I had to retake all these courses, I have had to take about 20 credit hours each semester after freshman year. Even now...my last semester I am taking 20 credit hours!!! ARRGHHH ;)

Hey fruity thanks for the nice comments. Haha it sounds honest cause it's the truth, there's TONS, i mean TONS of students that get average/below avg marks, spend their 4-5 years at University, finish with a degree, and go back home, ending up nowhere. I should know, I got too many friends working at you name it, retail, business, casinos, life is tough. To get high marks is an accomplishment, very few people do it. Applicants to medical/dental schools are just a cross-section of the top students, not at all typical, remember the class average in your organic chem classes was 58% (at least it was in mine, such a hard university). That means 100's of students with C,D,F's. Those are people too, they got dreams too im sure.

No work experience, no post-bac, no masters, no PHD, When I have kids, if I could swing quintuplets that would be sweet, done in 1 bang eh, sweet. That's enough for a basketball team, sooo sweet.
I think I can swing a hoola-hoop but only for 5 seconds with momentum, then the darn thing falls down.

I got interviews at UBC (home), Sask, UWO. UBC drops you're worst year, and the other two look at your top 2 years. My overall GPA is 2.9, but...

YEAR 1 GPA: 1.6 (sweeeeeet), 58% Avg
YEAR 2 GPA: 1.9 (hey work in progress right? lol 1.9 still soo low) 62% Avg

After 5 years total ends up at 2.9, so I did better in year 3,4,5.

Oh there's schools in Canada that wouldn't blink twice at my stats, like UT, McGill, lots others, so I never applied to them or got flat rejected. Lowest GPA of accepted students is like 3.5 there. No US school looked past my overall, and gave me the chance to come in for an interview, so struck out there.

Anyways, I'll keep you posted, I just went into the interviews calm you know, being such a huge underdog, I'm like whatever, lets do this, I got nothing to lose.

Oh yea... I didn't get my first A at University until 2nd semester 2nd year, so after 2 full years. It was an 80% A- in psych 100, Had 50 going into final, did well on final, overall 76, prof bumped me to 80%, that was a huge day for me, me first A of any kind mateys, Arrrrrrrr.

So there is definitely hope, I'll have to wait till Jun/July till I get some news, hopefully good. Canadian interviews are CDA structured, so its 7 questions marked out of 35, no dental related questions, or anything traditional.

Hope you do well with your appz as well Fruity Bowl
