Oregon Anesthesiology Group
Springfield, Oregon (Eugene/Springfield Metro Area)
We have two full-time positions available in which you will be doing your own cases as part of our collegial physician only group at McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center in Springfield, Oregon. These are partnership track positions that encompass a wide variety of bread and butter cases. The qualified anesthesiologist is a strong team player focused on providing excellent general and regional anesthesia care. Surgical case mix includes: Orthopedic, Neuro-spine, General, Urology, ENT, GYN, Robotic, Plastic, Vascular, and occasional healthy pediatric surgical patients. A large percentage of the case mix is total joints and spine. We also provide labor and delivery anesthesia services. No heads, hearts or trauma. Cases and call burden are distributed evenly from day one.
You will receive an outstanding egalitarian compensation and benefit package including minimum 8 weeks vacation and post-call days off. First call approximately twice a month during the week, and weekend call every 7th weekend. OAG is the largest group in the region with over 260 physicians. We have an excellent centrally located corporate staff which handles all billing and administrative functions. The partnership track is defined, takes two years and has a negligible buy-in cost.
McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center, open since 1955, is a 113-bed community hospital with national recognition as a top performer on key quality measures by The Joint Commission. The hospital is growing, has recently undergone a $100 million expansion and complete renovation of all the ORs. The department enjoys the enthusiastic support of hospital administration, providing state of the art equipment and a stocked physician lounge.
The Eugene/Springfield area is home to over 300,000 residents and provides a very attractive setting to enjoy the lifestyle for which you have been looking. It is home to the University of Oregon and is renowned as Tracktown, USA, home to the World Athletics Championships 2021, birthplace of Nike. You will have access to all the cultural and entertainment opportunities afforded larger metro areas, without the traffic and overcrowding. The area has the lowest cost of living on the west coast, with a very desirable climate for the outdoor enthusiast. Schools in the area are highly regarded, and overall is a very easy place to live with a very friendly populace. Set in Oregon wine country, we are a one-hour drive to world-class snow sports, fishing, and the beautiful Oregon Coast. Located on the I-5 corridor in the beautiful southern Willamette valley, 100 miles south of Portland, OR.
