Will the prometric center let a friend bring me lunch on one of my breaks and hang out with me?

My assumption would be yes, but I'd just give your center a call and ask. If they say no go (whether it's ok with prometric in general or not, I'd prob just let it go
That sounds like a good idea, thanks. I try not to take these exams too seriously so it would be really nice to kick back for a while in the middle.
Exactly how much time do you plan on spending? Keep in mind that your time starts as soon as you get up from the computer - it takes time to check out, walk wherever, eat, check back in, etc.. At most you're going to have an hour - and that's if you have no breaks in between any of the sections.
If you're just going to have lunch outside, that's one thing. But you're probably stretching it if you're going to actually walk somewhere and get food. Bad idea IMO.

I think when you finish a block early you gain that time in break time, so it should give me some extra cushion once lunchtime rolls around. I think it'll be fine; the exam shouldn't be as insane and stressful as it's become.
Is there a dedicated lunch time? I've been confused by this, thought it might just be 45 minutes of break time + 15 minutes of tutorial, use how you see fit. It would make sense if there was a lunch break though, given the length
Yes, that's true, but if you just use 5 minutes between each section that leaves you with 25 minutes for lunch. Five minutes will probably be just enough time to go to the bathroom after taking into account checking out, checking in, etc.. I agree you should try not to be stressed out, but that doesn't mean you should just not give a ****.
But whatever, it's your test day and ultimately your score.
And love, my understanding is that there isn't a lunch break. I plan to do the above - basically skip the tutorial and save time so that I can have a longer break for lunch.

My understanding was that if you finished 3 blocks in 40 minutes each, you gain an extra hour of breaktime, which should be plenty for a nice lunch.

Dunno why people are being douchey. If he thinks a lunch break with a friend will best serve him, there's no reason he shouldn't go for it (unless you think you know him better than he knows himself). There's nothing about it that demonstrates a lack of seriousness about the test. The suggestion about not going to order food somewhere are good, and even people's personal feelings (expressed as such) are worthwhile, but I don't see the point of being disparaging. As far as the time, if he routinely finishes UW blocks with half an hour left, I don't think it's an unreasonable expectation that he may have some extra time left over each block on the real deal. It probably shouldn't be counted on, but that doesn't mean it isn't likely.
Cripes.

Well, sure, if you're going to finish and end a block on test day with a third of your time remaining. Seems like a pretty *****ic thing to do unless you've been doing that regularly throughout your prep.
