Man Over Board

Passengers were horrified to witness our First Mate fall overboard right before our next dive. I was below decks preparing the Nautilus to dive, so I did not see what happened. Some say our crew member was pushed, but the swells were rising, and some say she simply slipped into the abyss. We executed the MOB drill, and I swung the Nautilus around. Our boatswain through a life ring in, but to no avail. @genny slipped below the waves, never to be seen again. It is a sad day aboard the Nautilus. Capt. KD and I should have never put an untrained passenger in this position.

Captain's Log:

27/8/18– We replenished the air supply and restocked the galley today while at the surface. Swells are starting to pick up and clouds are rolling in. We are set to dive and will do so imminently. Today, passengers struggled to find a logical explanation for the deaths of the previous creatures. Is it some undiscovered beast? It is now my mission to lead the Nautilus to discover the secret. Unlocking the mysteries of the ocean is my life's work.

Dead is @genny, Ahuitzotl, a mythical beast in the form of a waterproof dog from Aztec legend. This dog has 5 hands, allowing it to create fantastic magical items.

It's different in my mind. I mellowed out the tone of some reads for the purposes of manipulation. She's saying one thing, and then doing things that don't seem to fit at all with what she is saying.

But also yes, I frequently do lie as a villager on a larger scale than that, even. You can condemn me for hypocrisy if you wish.
 
The last few games, item making has been wolfy.... so meh.

Also don't get why if a mayorial power was to overturn a lynch vote... why didn't genny just use that on herself now?

So much confusion.

How do you think people would've reacted if she suddenly wasn't able to be lynched?
 
Maybe she couldn't veto a lynch that she was involved in?
 
May I have your attention, please!

I am sure you have all noticed the sound coming in through the hydrophones after this most recent dive. We are experiencing some sort of signal jam while we cruise here at 300 fathoms. We have placed the sound as coming off of the southern coast of South America, but we are at least 5000km away from there. Could a living organism have made this sound? Surely not. I hope it does not damage our hydrophonic systems. While the crew tries to sort this out, please carry on with your scientific discussion. As always, the crew is at your service. Let us know if you need anything.

Tinfoil hat theory that there aren't any true seers in the game and genny needed to create items to do seer-type abilities, but with her being gone now there's no possibility of that happening

idk, people often get riled up by things that alter or prevent a lynch even if mentioned in advance
 
So, I don't think I've ever played with SOV or if I did it was while I was super nooby. Can someone with more experience tell me if ghosting would fit a wolf meta for him?

I understand being busy, but I don't know how to interpret missing lynch (I think he did anyway, I checked the last lynch tally and didn't see him)

I had been leaning towards him as being village. I feel like the easiest way to late-add him from a modding perspective would be as vanilla village.

Probably not the most kosher thing to use for affiliation, but oh well.

It was a bit surprising to me that he did not run for the mayor position, and in my experience he has been much more active in the past, so I initially had him as leaning a bit more wolfy. But I'm not really getting wolfy vibes from his posts when he has shown up, and I think the modding argument has won out in my head as time has gone on.
 
Pippy is reading a bit more village now because takes a crazy wolf (well ****, just lost my discussion right there, she is crazy) to be that gung ho about lynching someone.

Not saying it can't happen, but less likely.

I will have to try to reread tomorrow but a bit distracted tonight due to family issues because my life is one big suck fest right now.

I have been saying to the mods all game that I WISH I could pull this kind of village-destroying **** as a wolf. Truly, would love to ratchet it up to this level of bonkers.

In the interest of not being any more game-breaking, here are my initial reads from D1 from my role PM. If you did not post, you were not on my radar at the time. Probably would lean Snowy somewhat wolfy and KC more towards village.

Why do you think you shouldn't be on village leans? Imo your play seems similar to the other games where you flipped village. The only thing that I'd still like answered is why you thought lylo would be so soon, as I didn't think you were implying that today would be Lylo with your post (again, could be mis-remembering, but would still like to know why you thought that).

If you weren't able to put your night cancellation through then it would have been you. But since you were able to do it, I'm going to go ahead and

Lynch SAR (or contingency lynch SAR, idk what will count right now).

I've felt pretty strongly that between you, Genny, and SAR there's a wolf. With the night cancel happening I'm willing to hold off on you (for now), but you're still on the list of people I'm watching.

idk I feel like it's risky to clear me if a wolf hasn't died in a long time. As for lylo, it was my 'rithmetic. I almost never factor in unforeseen mechanics.

I said you're village leans, not that I've cleared you. Why would you think that?

Edit: I still don't get the part about your "rithmetic". Are you saying your math was wrong or that you legit think there's that many wolves? I know you've said you're not a heavy mechanics player, but I am and unless this game is heavily stacked for the wolves I'd be hard pressed to think today would be lylo...
 
Attention, All Passengers! ​

After we fixed our systems from the blast of noise, it seems that we have picked up a distress signal. Capt. KD and I have responded according to maritime law. The signal came from the Aquarius Research Station. Capt. KD and I went into the diving chamber and donned our heavy lead suits. We ventured out into the deep to render any aid we could. We found someone lying on the floor with close to no oxygen left in their facility. Luckily, we brought another suit with us and lent it to our new found friend.

There could be that many wolves. If heavy stacked, I would put the numbers lower.
