Why are boiling points a better indication of intermolecular bonding than melting points?
a) Vaporization requires more energy than melting
b) Vaporization requires less energy than melting
c) Transition from solid to liquid involves other factors such as crystalline lattice structures
d) Vaporization is easier to measure

Which of the following are true concerning any reaction at equilibrium?
I. The conc. of products is equal to the conc. of reactants
II. The rate of change in the conc of the products is equal to the rate of change in the conc of reactants
III. The rate constant of the forward reaction is equal to the rate constant of the reverse reaction

a) II only
b) I and II only
c) II and III only
d) I, II, and III

not sure about the first question... but for the second one I would pick II and III.... I'm pretty sure I is totally wrong.

wasn't sure about III thanks for the correction folks!

If I had to guess on the first one I would say that vap. requires more energy but that is only a guess.

For the second one the only correct answer is II making "a" the correct choice. number I is incorrect because the definition of equilibrium is the RATE of reaction forward equals the RATE of the reverse reaction.

Number III is incorrect because the rate constant for the forward reaction is "K" but the rate constant for the reverse reaction is "1/K" remember we are talking about the the rate constant not the rate. I hope that make sense.

I am taking my DAT on Math 10th!

I hope I will do well.

I am hoping to hit 24-25AA if possible 🙁

I am retaking (i think i can do better) the DAT somewhere between june 1 and june 20th whenever i think i will be ready.

You should shoot for Math 20+ instead 😛

Math is actually my strong point, but yeah... Whenever I make mistake on the practice problems, they are usually me being not careful.

Hopefully my brain won't start lugging on the actual test date 😀
