get this case I heard today. Upon speculum exam, a resident noticed two things on the labia that looked like "skin tags". She about to disregard these findings as skin tags but she noticed that these "skin tags" were black in the middle. Upon closer exam, she noticed lyme ticks.
Who would of thought, lyme ticks on the vuvla. Her attending even admitted that he probably would have disregarded the findings as benign. I'd say she had a pretty good catch!!
