fortunate to be in a position where I'm just being nitpicky at this point, but hoping to get advice especially on Cambridge Health Alliance vs. Cornell in my rank list. and, if anyone wants to comment too on where MGH might fit for me.

I'm interested in child psychiatry and psychodynamic training, particularly trauma-related work. I'm not particularly interested in having to do a ton of research, and don't see that in my future career. I do have a deep love for medical education and could see myself making a career as an APD or PD someday, but enjoy clinical work with some therapy sprinkled in.

edit: for psychiatry residency!

I'm not an East Coaster (thankfully), but you need to decide if you want to live in Ithaca or Cambridge, that's the important decision. They seem a little different, at least superficially? I mean from my perspective as a West Coaster they both have snow, so no thank you, but think about the cities more than the programs since you'll likely end your whole life there. They'll obviously all be able to do that stuff you talked about since it's pretty generic.

I feel I should've clarified that this is for psych residency, so Cornell would actually be in NYC! And to me, I'm equally meh about both Boston and NYC - I visited both many times having lived on the East Coast for 8 years now, but don't have the strongest preference either way. Ithaca definitely would've been a strong deterrent lol

Regardless, you're not choosing between Mount Sinai and Columbia. The cities are still over 200 miles apart. It's a not an evening commute. This is where you're going to be building your professional AND social connections plus by far most importantly, very, very likely live the rest of your life. Focus on that and not the programs themselves. Either program is only four of those years.
