I feel so stupid. I just submitted my PharmCAS application and just realized I made a bad grammatical error in my opening 🙁

Anyone done this before? Is there any possible way PharmCAS would let me fix this?

If your application has not been mailed out you can simply call pharmcas and they will allow you to fix it and re-submit it.

I called them and they said there's nothing they can do 🙁. It just makes my application look like crap but I can't do anything now.

I know it's my fault but it makes me angry that I'm paying $200 for an application to be sent to two schools and the application service is such low quality.

Really, don't blame the service for that one. I proofread my personal statement five times before I submitted it. You can't blame them with all of the apps they're getting right now.

Hey, it doesn't take that long to throw something into a grammar/spell checker. Usually Microsoft word does that for you. But, proofreading is key!

Respectfully, you shouldn't really be angry at pharmcas, you should really be angry at yourself for not taking enough time/asking more people to proofread your essay to catch this sort of error. Doesn't it it let you know that you don't be able to change anything when you esubmitt your app ?

If you can't do anything at this point, don't eat yourself up. Don't let this ruin your holidays and spoil what could be the happiest time of the year with your family. It won't do you any good except causing stress and anxiety and most people already have enough of that as is. I know spelling/grammar are important, but if are are a good applicant, perhaps schools will overlook the error. Hope for the best.

In big red bold letters under the box you type your personal statement into....

You can NOT make any edits to your Personal Essay after you have e-submitted your completed application to PharmCAS.

Lol, I had my personal statement proofread by about 5-6 people and I myself reread it many many times. Theres nothing you can do now, so stop worrying about it and hope for the best. Maybe in your supplementals you could mention the grammatical error to show them you actually have good grammar 👍
