Has anyone heard if there is a recommended number of programs to apply to? Obviously there are no guarantees. I'm just trying to get an estimate.

obviously numbers and geographical breadth make a difference, but for me, there were only 10 transitional programs in the areas i was willing to go. i applied to all of them. generally speaking, i would advise the same, unless perhaps you're junior AOA with a 260 - you get the idea.
