Regional has been revamped over the last 15 months, and has actually become a very busy rotation that is high quality.
ICU is weak in term of total months, 1 as intern, 2 as CA-2, but again, I think that is a plus (not interested in ICU) and can do more as a CA-3
Tons of Cardiac cases, no fellows, do as many TEE as you want
Ob : you will do >300 epidurals in first year alone (not an error) very busy
Sub specialty rotations first year include: Ob, Vascular-Thoracic, Peds, Neuro,
Portland is a great little city. Nice outdoor activities, beaches 15 minutes, mountains 2 hours, tons of paves walking/biking paths through city.
Residents laid back, but bright, probably could have gone anywhere, but chose this place.
