Hello there all!
This is my first post on here, I am currently an undergrad sophomore who's planning to get into dental school. My Major is currently a BA in Biological Sciences and Have oGPA: 3.88 and sGPA : 3.61. Do you think that these numbers are good enough so far to get into dental school? Also, my Major does not require Calc 1 as a class, do you think that it'll be okay to not take the course? What do you think of my major overall? Thanks in advance!

Your GPA is fine, I personally wouldn't take calc if its not a prereqs for any of the schools you're planning to apply to.

It doesn't matter what your major is. As long as you have the pre-reqs for all the schools you're applying to you will be fine.

I'm sure one question that would come up in interviews is "Why did you choose your major?" and the answer shouldn't be "Because I thought it would make my application look good." You can major in anything, even if it is something like art history, as long as you fulfill the prerequisites for dental schools. There is a difference between "I did this because I am passionate about this and I got a lot out of it" versus "I did this just to check the box."

Calculus may be required at some dental schools. Taking it will increase your options, and I would say if you think you can pull off at least a B+ it's worth it. I personally feel like everybody should take up to at least calc 1, maybe higher if they got AP credit.

Why?

Most (if not all) schools require Physics I and II. My University is a tech school, so Physics I and II required I take Calc I and II, but if you can take both of those without Calculus, then you'll be fine. 🙂 Your GPA is solid so far, so keep up the good work! I recommend you meet with an advisor at your school to determine what is best for you personally.
