Large Neuroscience group in Central Maryland close to Washington, DC has a General Neurology practice opportunity. The group covers 3 hospitals. The neurologists see anywhere from 13-19 patients a day. The office is open six days a week and has a certified EMG lab. There are two other Neurologists in the group, and you would share call 1-3 building to 1-4 for hospital consults. Very low occurrence of being called in when on call. Neurologists are booked 7-9 weeks out. Opening a Neuro-Ortho-Walk In clinic and have partnered with surrounding manufacturing plants for Worker's Comp and neuromusculoskeletal immediate care. Adding EEG and sleep lab in 2013, and also engaging with the VA as a partnered resource and have just signed on with 3 TPAs for Traumatic Brain Injury services and talking about a prosthetics rehab clinic.
Base salary, production bonus, and generous benefits.
The area is the fastest growing area in Maryland, and one of the fastest in the US due to influx of people from DC and Baltimore escaping the high cost of living, but not wanting to be far away from the city. Its overall population is around 269,000 which includes a series of towns which are all nearby. Its population itself is 40,000. It has great proximity to DC and Baltimore ( an hour to each) , and it isnt very far to either the mountains, or the coast. Good area for families also. It is served by 2 interstates. Its economic base is stable and diversified.
