I'm listeing to Vanderbilt. This is way cool! They each picked a song to play for them when they go up there.
 
I'm watching Madison's...if I got to pick my own song I'd totally rick roll everyone
 
What are some of the traditions?
Who gets the dollar bucket?
 
also watching madison. not sure why. I took a look at uc and vandy and just stayed on madison lol

We should have something like that in sdn for the last student to get an answer from a med school....
 
I never understood the spectacle. What if you didn't want to share this with everyone or if you got your last choice?
 
what in the world. I'm watchin vandys now. I just saw a couples match at columbia, optho at vandy, rads at hopkins, and ct surg at stanford? these dudes are BALLER.
 
FIRE, You should see the whole production that Hopkins has going on. Envelopes are pulled out of a "pot of gold", have the shape of "gold coins" and there is a "rainbow of hundreds of balloons rising from the "pot of gold"...(St Patrick's Day after all)

Sounds like a great party, but I do admit that I would not want to find out that I am "unmatched" or got my "last choice" when I get my "gold letter"😱

Rest easy about finding out you're unmatched. Everyone found out on Monday if they matched or not. They just don't find out where until Thursday. I love what you just described Hopkins doing with the St. Patricks Day/Match Day thing.

I've heard some schools do a thing where there's a bowl or a jar, and everyone has to drop a dollar into it when they come up. The LAST person that gets called up gets the money, because the poor bastard had to wait so long.

Vandy's was awesome last year. They had this guy going into ENT, and he brought all of these sports caps and lined them up on the table. After he read his letter, he placed the corresponding cap on his head like he was an athlete that just got signed. It was pretty rad. 🙂

It doesn't appear that you are ever going to be a doctor, so lucky for you, you don't have to understand the match day spectacles.

Ha, I watched the end of Madison's. Cool stuff.

I don't know why, but it's kind of weird how young most of them looked.

at least you can admit that you measure his package in nanometers. as for me not becoming a doctor and my endowments, I can assure you that both of those claims are unfounded. nice to see you taking your expected role as antagonistic biatch of each thread.

lol i'm done here. i have heard stories about people who have cried after getting their match letter and thought that perhaps not everyone would want to engage in such an activity.

Wow! That is soooo exciting and really gives us all something awesome to look forward to!

I watched Vandy's and the last couple matched into Mass Gen and Brigham and Women's in Boston. Harvard couple is baller! 👍
 
every thread lately has been about penises and sandwiches
 
i love vandy's, the music playing is awesomee! they must feel soooo amazing, all that hard work paying off!
