matched!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Congratulations!! In many ways, today is more suspenseful than the end of the week.

Thanks gfunk! And thanks for all your advice during a very difficult match year for me! I got so excited I even scared my dog when I got the email! I don't really care where I matched, just so happy I did!!! 🙂

Congrats to everyone else who matched!

Congrats, everybody. Should we expect one email for intern year and one email for rad onc? Did anybody get two emails? Should I worry that I only got one email?

Congrats to everyone who matched! How do we see which programs didn't fill if we can't login to SOAP? Anyone know if this is possible?

I was curious too, but don't think you can. I think you are only allowed to see them if you did not match. I'm sure the unfilled programs will be listed at the end of SOAP/match week, but until then I think it's hush hush for the people who are looking for positions.

If we received an email saying simply "Congratulations! You have matched." does that mean we matched a single, categorical program or does everyone receive the single notification without respect to advanced/prelim/ty match status?

I think that means you are fully matched. Since I already did a prelim year for example, it says congratulations you have matched to an advanced position but not a preliminary-year position. So if it says you have matched! I think you are fully matched, whether it's a categorical or a prelim/TY and advanced.

Matched! Thanks for all the great advice on this forum!:luck:

All we can see is the "Regional Statistics by Specialty" under the reports. This tells you how many spots were unfilled and where they are(regionally) for each specialty.

Just to clear up what has been written above . . .

If you got the "Congratulations you have matched!" email then it means that you matched to both your internship and categorical Rad Onc unless you ranked another specialty categorical program as a back-up (e.g. a 3-year Internal Medicine program).

If you simply listed an internship as your back-up and you got the "Congratulations you have matched!" then it means you are good to go (e.g. you matched into both intern and categorical).

Hope this was clear.

Congrats to everyone! Truly feel blessed to have you all as future colleagues.

Congrats to all those that matched. My heartfelt sympathy to any that did not. There are several on this board who did not match the first go-round who I am sure would offer up advice if approached..

I was told by a friend that it is University of Mississippi.

Mississippi wasn't taking applications this year, so if that is the case there probably isn't a real spot available.

Congrats to everyone who matched! For those that didn't, I certainly wish you the very best, and hope to see you as colleagues very soon.

So does that mean there were ZERO available rad onc spots after today?

Congrats to those who matched! To those who didn't, don't give up hope. I've been there and I know how it feels to not match. Continue to work hard and know that your time will come.
