What are the most imp things you need to match into ENT? Do you think an away rotation would help/ where would be a good place? are there any progs that are easier to get into?

Wow! thanks neutropenia boy I'll pass that info on to my friend, I didn.t realize how competetive this specialty was...

As someone who recently matched into ENT, I can tell you that most of the info above seems pretty accurate. The other applicants I met on the trail were almost uniformly friendly/outgoing/very intelligent etc. There is definitely very stiff competition, but I met some awesome folks while interviewing.

On the bright side, most (not all) competitive applicants do match. Also, nearly every program will provide you with excellent training. I would have been happy matching at any of the 10 programs on my rank list. Good luck to next year's crop of applicants- it is certainly a scary process, but the end result is definitely worth the hassle. 👍
