Matching into PM&R after taking a year off after 4th year?

Does anybody have any experience with students who match into PM&R after taking a year off after 4th year? Is it easy or tough to do (i'm sure tougher than the traditional path but any more info is appreciated)?

I am possibly going to take next year off (after 4th year). I am debating between PM&R and another specialty and was going to take a year off in between if I apply for one of them and don't match rather than applying for both.
