I have a B.S. and M.S. in math, but they were a while ago. I am currently taking/retaking prereq's at a community college, but have not started on math (or English) yet. I also got a 5 on the AP Calc BC test from over a decade ago.
Because of the AP credit, I skipped a quarter of calculus and ended up taking advanced freshman calculus, linear algebra/differential equations, and abstract algebra on a mandatory pass/fail basis my freshman year. All my other math classes are more advanced, taken well over 5 years ago, and virtually all of them were on a graded basis.
Would the AP credit or any of the math classes I took from a long time ago (either the pass/fail ones or the higher-level ones) be enough to satisfy the math requirements of the vast majority of MD schools? Or would it be a good idea to retake the math classes? Should I just retake calculus or is it okay for me to take higher-level math classes such as linear algebra/differential equations instead? Would the vast majority of MD schools be ok with that?
