no, you don't need to get pre-calc to be a vet. but statistics is pretty important.Meh, I don't know that disliking higher level maths is really that much of a problem as a vet.
I know, personally, I'm fine at math until I can't make the abstract concepts into something concrete... calc was rough, but calculating drug doses and fluids and comparisons/whatnot is pretty straightforward. I'm quite good at mental basic math, but still double check everything anyway with a calculator because I'm paranoid.

I'm not saying you don't need it for pre-reqs. I'm saying practical usage.But I need it to get to Calculus, and I need Calculus to take my Chemistry classes which are the prerequisites
