I seriously don't want to take it next 2008, cuz that's 1 year of free time... my brain might forget everything I learned

plus, I'm not getting any younger
😳
Alright, let me give you a serious answer. Save your energy and apply next cycle. The statistics are not good for you this time around, but I'd like to add the following about what you said:
Don't worry about being out 1 year. Enjoy it.You have an entire life to live, you don't have to get started in a career on the first day.
When I was an undergrad I started doing filmmaking for the university. documentary stuff, pretty boring really. But I loved filmmaking so I left college when i was a senior to take a semester to do some work in television. I only intended to take off for a semester, but I landed a job in a great place to work. It was a #1 rated, syndicated radio and television show out of NY with a long haired guy who's known as much for interviewing celebrities as he is for for having strippers, crackheads and midgets on his show.
After developing a craft of writing fart jokes and song parodies, I moved into motion pictures. I worked in movies for a few years until I finally decided that I was on the right track when i was in college and that I wanted to work in the healthcare industry.
So, I was out of undergrad for 12 years before applying to dental school! That's right, 12 years. I could barely remember what school I went to, so you can imagine it was tough to remember what Boyle's law is.
So to put an end to this long and boring response, you're not going to be too old. I mean, I doubt there's many older than me and I figure I still have time. So enjoy the year off. I recommend you pack a bag and hop from hostel to hostel through Europe, or spend some time in the Caribbean. Or go to New York and write fart jokes. One day you will be too old to do those things.
