Congrats :luck:! My heart jumped when I saw there was a new post and I didn't get any phone calls today.

Does anyone have an idea of when the next calls will be going out?

If I had to guess, and keep in mind this is a total guess, I would say two more sets of calls would be going out. One set will probably go out the week of February 23-27th and the last set will go out on March 13th to fill the class.
 
it has been almost exactly 4 weeks for me, still not ranked.
not too hopeful, one interview crashed. Do they only rank once a month? I know they said expect up to 4 weeks, should i give a call?

I would not worry. They tell you that it can take up to 6 weeks for you to get ranked. It took me almost 7 weeks. You absolutely will be ranked by March 12th which is the last meeting time. They meet every Thursday evening so I would imagine you would get ranked very soon.

Yeah I remember when I was a med student at UCLA reading about the Dartmouth study stating that mayo spent half as much as ucla did on similar patient care but had higher patient satisfaction. I always wondered how they did that, now as a resident at mayo I still wonder how they do it.
 
think carefully, I've been here for many years, and have to say it is an unstable program. There were 3 program director changes recently and yet another one just resigned... So, if stability is important to you, may have to look at other options. Otherwise, it's not a bad place.
 
Does anyone know when the next round of acceptances go out? I just got ranked last Thursday. I really hope that I get into Mayo. It is an amazing school that really set itself apart from the other schools that I visited.

hopefully some of us SDNrs will be getting some happy calls tomorrow! (It seems like Marcy tends to call on monday's). Everyone be sure the watch the Oscars to perfect your "gracious loser face" as well as wistfully contemplate your "acceptance" speech. Good luck all.

I got mine on a Friday in the early afternoon. I think Mayo's adcom meets on Thursdays and information goes out on Friday or Monday depending on how busy the office is. Best of luck!

Does anyone know what we should be doing for financial aid? I am completing my taxes and then filling out the FAFSA, but I was not sure if there is anything Mayo-specific.

Fill out FAFSA and enter the Mayo code, I think that's all I have done.
 
The wait for Mayo is starting to get to me. This is by far my top choice and always get a little nervous on Fridays. I didn't know that sometimes the calls come out on Mondays too. Great, now I'll be nervous two days a week. Good luck to everyone out there!
 
once you get ranked, you'll hear if you get rejected or waitlisted at the same times that others are accepted right?

It is my understanding that you either get accepted or placed on hold until March. I do not believe any post-interview rejections happen before March.

Yup...DoctorDeMan is correct. No post interview rejections until March and you either get an appointment or hold the first time you are eligible after you are ranked by the committee.

I talked to Marcy recently and if you do not get an appointment you will learn of your waitlist or rejection shortly after March 15th. Last year, the decisions were issued on Monday March 17th. I would suspect that it would be similar this year with waitlist decisions going out close to Monday March 16th. Hope this helps. Good Luck!
 
Im putting my money on the fact that more appointments will go out tomorrow....hopefully some people from this forum will get some good news tomorrow.
 
I interviewed during the third week of January, and have not even been ranked. Is there anyone else in the same boat? I thought Marcy said we will know of the decision in 5-6 weeks after the interview. It is almost the 6th week, and I have not even been ranked. I hope they did not forget me.

My schedule is so messed up I thought it was Thursday. It's been a busy (but fun) week. Sorry for being freaky!😉

So is it safe to safe that the february appointments went out already? If I wasn't called do I receive an email letting me know that I have been put on hold or is it just assumed? Thanks for the help!
