I'm happy. Just one problem, my experiences have been more tailored to serving the rural community. Do you guys think I should emphasize my research background or hit home my strength of serving the rural community. Mayo is a research intensive medical school.

emphasize whatever you're most comfortable talking about. you'll come across as more passionate and into what you're doing. just don't dis research and you'll be fine talking about rural med.

Mayo certainly aims for diversity in the people they accept. There's nothing wrong with rural medicine. If that's what you are interested in, my advice is to talk about that. The best interviews are ones where you end up talking about what you're most passionate about. I look forward to seeing ya!
