According to the screening formula posted earlier, I should not have been screened out of the secondary phone interview. However, I was. Anyone else screened out and have a score ABOVE 66-67 according to the MCAT + (GPA X 10)?

I got a letter telling me that my application would no longer be considered

Sorry to hear about your bad news in regards to Mayo. Those rules that were posted are not used in any strict manner, if they are used at all. Mayo gets many more applications that would be above that screening level and they don't offer them all a telephone interview. And, they do offer interviews to some people below that screening level. I guess what I am saying is, I think that previous post regarding screening levels was in error. There are students at Mayo that do not fit any of those criteria. And I know of students that fit all those criteria and did not receive a telephone interview. It might be rough guide to go by, but I think that would fit for just about any medical school. Good luck with the rest of the application process.

I did not meet those criteria, but got a phone interview (but sadly not an on-site one). Nothing in the med school application process conforms to any rules, as far as I can see. So applying, assuming you've made your app as strong as possible, is all about maximizing your odds by applying early to a wide range of schools. About all you can do after that is be ready to shine at the interviews you do get. I second mpp's good luck to you! 🙂
