MCAT and IQ Correlation

Since everyone has explored the SAT/MCAT or ACT/MCAT correlation, how about listing your IQ and MCAT scores. List the type of IQ test if you know.

I've heard that the average physicians IQ is in the 120-130 range.

I doubt there's a correlation. MCAT results are probably predicted better by, surprise, study habits. I'd also venture to guess that the time between taking the premed courses and the MCAT can have an effect upon one's score.

My iq is off the charts and i havent taken the mcat yet but i know i will get a 45 because its my destiny.

To be honest, I find the (lack of trend) displayed in this thread very suprising. I would expect a positive correlation (though maybe not a strong one).

Oh for crying out loud. 🙄 The MCAT is not an IQ test. That's why everyone who posted here has an IQ in the same range (with the notable exception of Nutmeg. 😛 )

I would imagine that verbal is correlated to IQ. The others are correlated to how much you liked and/or studied physics bio and chemistry.

Evidently, it's a negative trend. I guess my IQ should be about 30 or so.

Anyone who's reading this thread in hopes of getting some serious information: you don't need to have a five zillion IQ to do well on the MCAT. If you want to do well on the MCAT, try this time-tested, old-fashioned method: STUDY. Even for VR, you can improve your score through practice. I'm not going to waste any more time on this thread, amusing as it is. 🙄

Yeah, I was lying. I don't actually know, although they tested me in 2nd grade. On two occasions, my pops told me, but he gave quite different answers each time, so I can't trust either.

If I managed an MCAT score far beyond that which would be expected given my IQ, why would I be embarassed? If I were 150/40T, then it's just expected. If I were 98/40T, I'm a golden child.
