I would say EK has the best set of books ever. They give you no more than you need for the MCAT and the practice questions have an MCAT-ish feel to them. They are more fun to read than the Kaplan books, too.
It'll cost you twice what Kaplan's comprehensive thing costs, but I think you'll agree later that it's worth the price. Their practice tests, from what I hear, are very close to the real thing, as well. THey cost 20 bucks a pop.

aren't you a freshmen in college? if so, i wouldn't worry too much about mcat review right now - instead focus on the course work and worry about mcat review in a couple of years.

I have the entire examkracker set and have been skimming through most of their books. It's not bad but not too good either. This is mainly due to the mistakes that I've found throughout their bio/chem books. Definitely check their website to make sure you're not being mislead!🙂

If you dont want to get the whole EK book package, I highly suggest picking up at least the EK 101 Verbal Passages book.....probably the best verbal material Ive seen, compared to Princeton and Kaplan
The Princeton Review books are perhaps too overly thorough. I was looking through my friends and my face looked like this the entire time: 😱
Kaplan's are the best I think. They're short, to the point, and so far on all the review tests (up to 5R right now), there was nothing in the questions that I could not infer or deduce from the information in the Kaplan books.
