Hi guys, so I'm a third year student and I' planning take the MCAT before it changes. I have already registered for the Kaplan MCAT classes and they'll be starting in two weeks. I have to take the online diagnostic tests before the first class....I was wondering how much do I need to study for the diagnostic test. They have their review booklet... that's what I'm studying as of now.

Diagnostic tests are supposed to give you a starting point on which to build so that the testing companies can be like "look we helped improve your score 10 points" or whatever. They are kind of pointless but can at least give you an idea of the format of the test.

I understand but do you think that I should still review a bit more before giving the diagnostic exam

As ksmi said, there is no point, it wouldn't make any difference. If you are a "typical" person with "average" background and zero MCAT prep, chances are you will score ~25.

Would it make a difference for you to score 7,8,7 or a 7,7,6, or an 8,8,7? No, you still have to study hard anyways.

Having said that, there could be some people who can score 35+ on their diag..

Anyways, don't stress out too much, just take it, and start preping !
