MCAT indicator of board scores?

From your experiences how does your MCAT compare to how you or your friends perform on the boards? Admissions committees are adamant that they are good indicators. What do you think?

Studies have shown that higher MCAT scores correlate with passing med school classes and the boards better then a high GPA does.
 
I did waaaaaay better on my Step 1 than I did on the MCAT. I think it was because the subject matter was much more interesting, so I didn't really mind studying that much.

Physics and chemitry. *yawn*

Really enjoying path and learning it well helped my board score the most, I think.
