I created this thread for all the sub 500 scorers (~50% of test takers) who look around the threads but never post b/c they are discouraged by all the top scores they see on SDN.

Exactly. The test is just how much time you put in.

I wish there wasn't so much selection bias as to who posts their scores on SDN....it makes people who don't score >90%tile consider retaking....which is just so ridiculous when you really step back and think about it.

I wish there wasn't so much selection bias as to who posts their scores on SDN....it makes people who don't score >90%tile consider retaking....which is just so ridiculous when you really step back and think about it.

very true, the biggest thing to remember is the SDN community is not representative of the entire applicant population
