I can't believe we have to wait till June 24th! this is ridicoulous. I totally though the scores would be out sooner...

Wait a minute - this cant be right. Perhaps the THx service will not be available until the 24th, but I'm sure the scores will be available online before then. Anybody know for sure? Or have more input on this matter?

Hey - look at the bright side - this gives us more time to do our apps, since, after all, schools wont really look at our application until they have the mcat scores. Thus we dont have to get our amcas in until the end of june.

It says the THx system starts on June 9th, but it says the scores for the April MCAT will not be there till June 24th.

I hate to break it to you, but nhbara is correct. The scores will not be available for us until the 24th. If you took the mcat in like 1995 or something, or even last august, then Thx will be available for you starting june 9th, but the scores for the april 2003 will not be available until the 24th.

K' here's a question......... do you guys think I should submit to AMCAS as soon as I'm able too, 'cause I finished my application already HOWEVER....... if I messed up on the MCAT than it could be a big waste of $$$$$

I personally am going to wait until after the mcat to submit amcas. I will feel a lot more secure doing it then. Go with your gut instinct.

I am in the same situation as yourself. I am going to wait till the scores come out, two weeks won't make a difference. As long as you hand in your application in june or early july, you will be alright. Wait till the scores.

My interpretation of the AAMC MCAT site was that our scores will be available to be sent to medical schools via the THx system beginning on June 24. I think we should get to know our scores before then. But I could be wrong.

Test History -- it's a way to access your tests scores and to send off additional score reports free of charge.

So if you send your AMCAS before the scores come out, but you happened to take MCATS in 2001 and have a subpar score, is it possible for the medschools to think that this is indeed your only score and reject you outright? (i mean for early decision). Would the medschools know you took the MCAT in April 2003 ?

You indicate on the app that you took or plan to take another MCAT. Even if you wait, won't you still get your scores before ED deadlines?

i could've sworn that i read that apr 03 mcat scores would be online 50 days after the test...

that would put online availability around the 15th or so right? the THx system may be the only one that shows you your every mcat score, but whats to say that aamc won't incorporate something else in the next few weeks specifically for the april mcaters...

they should have a way of checking online 50 days after the test date, otherwise it would just be flat out lie to print it as such in their materials 😕

Does anyone know what to do if you are not confident about your MCAT scores? I am going to apply this year no matter what, and I am willing to retake the MCAT in August, however I won't know if I will for sure until I see my scores. I am planning to submit my AMCAS the first day, but it asks if one will be retaking the MCAT in Aug. and I am unsure, so do I cjeck off "no", and if so what if I do have to retake the MCAT how do I notify schools?
