Ok, here is my plan... over the next year...
With this whole new "Computerized Exam" I am trying to work something out to my advantage... The fact is I don't want a heavy courseload while studying for MCATS... and if possible, I would like to actually have a couple weeks or even a few weeks if not 4 weeks to have with no classes and total preperation of the MCAT exam... I am thinking with all the additional test dates this should be possible... What do you guys think about course load leading up to the MCAT exam? I plan on taking BIOCHEM1, MicroBiology and Home Economics 5<<<hahaha JOKEY<< um perhaps Immunology... and another 3 credits in DIS... which takes up my whole freaking fridays...Again, what do you all think about this strategy?
Second, I don't want to spend $1500.00 dollars for now good reason... The fact is, I know how to read a text book and apply myself... So, I am really thinking about just doing EXAM KRACKERs, and their 1001 and 101 verbal books to supplement... My friend has the Kaplan book so perhaps I will supplement with that also... The course I am most Concerned about is Chem 1 and 2 because it was so long ago but I rocked in Orgo I and II so I don't think catching back up will be that big a deal... I guess what I am saying here does anyone think that taking a Kaplan is so vital to their score they wouldn't do it any other way or perhaps this will be enough to do well in the MCAT's???
I really appreciate the responses and hopefully this will help someone else on the same path... for a 2007 application...
